K-Rite Construction Ltd. is an Edmonton based General Contracting firm servicing all parts of Western and Central Canada and the Northwest Territories. It was founded in 1989 with only a few dedicated workers but a plan to continually provide clients with the highest quality of work. Since its inception, K-Rite Construction Ltd. has become an industry leader, called upon by the oil and gas sector and others to ensure their construction needs are always met.

Founded by President Jim Kratchkowski, K-Rite Construction Ltd. is now celebrating its 19th Anniversary. Since 1989, when there were only Jim and a couple others, the company has diversified and grown substantially. Its head office and shop are located at 12849 . 148th street and are shared with a subsidiary company, Maxim Excavating Ltd. Between the two companies; they employ over 50 people, own more than $2.6 million in equipment and have completed almost $20 million in projects last year.

Safety Is Number One

With all of the new methods and materials companies are faced with in the petroleum/construction industry, its ongoing safety program is something that K-Rite is proud of.Safety First is one of the primary mandates K-Rite adopts in carrying out any single project. The Management team has shown its commitment towards safety by implementing a safety program through the Alberta Construction Safety Association. K-Rite has a Safety and Environmental Supervisor, Stephen Neis who oversees all safety aspects of the projects.
